History
Two companiesbecame one
We trace our origins back to a distribution company, named Merinox AB, founded in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 1983. It grew steadily and went through various forms. In 1987, company Ferroman AB was founded nearby and in the following decades the two companies expanded in step with the industrial revolution.
Initially the main activities included trading of steel and manufacturing components for machinery and equipment for clients in the iron and non-ferrous metals industries. Components for Heat treatment soon became the core business.
In 2007, the two companies joined forces and created a new company assuming the name Ferroman Engineering AB. Merging the two companies created a financially and technically strong business with interests as diverse as oil and gas, paper and pulp and steel industries.
FUTURE
A new era
On the 15th of January 2021, Tech Trade Group Nordic AB acquired the company Ferroman Engineering AB, starting the transformation of the company to where it stands today.
By 2022, we had been streamlining so we could focus on our core activities. We divested our pulp and paper and oil and gas businesses and concentrated on the steel industry as well as expanding our offering providing process engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services.
In 2022, we streamlined our business to focus on three main segments, Projects & Engineering, Digitalization & Automation and Spare parts & Equipment.
In 2023, we will continue to develop our engineering capabilities in our newly established office in Karlstad and continue to keep our focus on safe, efficient and cost-effective deliveries throughout the life of executed projects.
